Businessman had warned intruder before shooting – police

Senior ranks of the Guyana Police Force on Wednesday confirmed that on the night of the fatal shooting at Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo, which resulted in the death of an intruder, the businessman had warned his unwanted guest several times before he discharged his licensed fire arm. Irish volunteer charged for threatening President Ramotar

A 17-year-old Irish man who is in Guyana on a teaching project, was on Monday charged for allegedly threatening to shoot President Donald Ramotar in the head during an event at a night club in Lethem over the weekend. IMF warns Caribbean countries about high debts

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned Caribbean countries that they face an uphill battle fighting the debt crisis that has them in a stranglehold. Automatic weather station commissioned in Region 5

The Agriculture Ministry, in support of the Hydromet Service, last Friday officially commissioned an automatic weather station at Copenam, Region Five.
