The Supreme Court through its registrar has dispatched letters to all concerned parties informing them that May 8 is the date for the commencement of the final hearings into a lawsuit brought against Opposition Leader David Granger and House Speaker Raphael Trotman by the government over the vexed issue of budgetary cuts. By Svetlana Marshall – A policeman has been charged for his part in trafficking one of four girls who were dramatically rescued by the Guyana Women Miners Association (GWMO) on Sunday from the Puruni Backdam, Region Seven.
