By Svetlana Marshall – The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI) has recorded an aftertax profit of Gy$ 1.814 billion in 2012, representing a 32 per cent increase when compared to the bank’s returns for 2011. A post-mortem examination performed on the body of 23-year-old Police Constable Dorwin Pitman who died last Monday while giving chase to a prisoner gave the cause of death as cardiac arrest. The autopsy was performed on Wednesday by local pathologist Dr Nehaul Singh at the Georgetown Public Hospital mortuary.
