Three persons are now homeless after a fire believed to be electrical in origin gutted a two-storey dwelling at East Canje, Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne). As the Budget debates continue in the National Assembly, Communities Minister Ronald Bulkan on Wednesday announced the establishment of the National Regional Development Consultative Committee (NRDCC) which he said will be designed to improve and strengthen inter-regional consultations in Guyana. A teenager has become Guyana’s latest road fatality after he reportedly rode into the path of a minibus on Tuesday evening at Diamond, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
