Following the gruesome murder of a Corentyne labourer late Saturday night, Police have arrested one of the suspects who has since confessed to the crime. They are currently seeking his brother, who is believed to have fled the country. The suspect goes by the nickname “Saltfish”. A 34-year-old father of one is now dead after he was repeatedly stabbed on Christmas Day after ‘hailing up’ residents of C Field, Sophia, Greater Georgetown. Twenty-one inmates of the New Amsterdam Prison were on Thursday last recognised after successfully completing a three-month Anger Management and Re-entry programme. Nine women and 12 men participated in the 12-week programme.
