The annual Phagwah parade entered its 30th year in Richmond Hill on April 14. The parade, usually held on the weekend after Phagwah, was pushed to April to avoid the cold weather. The man who was driving the car which slammed into a parked lorry on Monday morning at Number 58 Village Corentyne, killing one of the three passengers was remanded this morning (Wednesday) on a dangerous driving charge. A 12-member jury at the Sexual Offences Court in Georgetown on Wednesday found Trevon Giles guilty on one count of raping a 15-year-old girl on January 14, 2016 in the county of Demerara.
