A miner was on Tuesday morning killed after a mining pit in which he was working caved in at Imbaimadai, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni). The dead man has been identified as Almo Adams. Police Divisional Commander, Kevin Adonis when contacted confirmed that the now dead man was “jetting” when the walls of the pit came crashing down. A Policeman who on Monday evening was stabbed eight times while on duty, has been discharged from the New Amsterdam Hospital as Police hunt his 17-year-old attacker.
