Georgetown Magistrate Faith McGusty on Monday remanded 36-year-old Shawn Cornelius after he was charged for allegedly raping a nine-year-old while being intoxicated. The accused, a miner, was not required to plead to the indictable charge, which stated that he, during the month of September 2018, engaged in sexual penetration with a child under the age of 16.
