Government’s aversion to changing local laws in relation to sentencing of persons found with small quantities of marijuana has not gone unnoticed. A La Grange, West Bank Demerara man was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment on Monday by Magistrate Clive Nurse when he appeared at the Linden Magistrate’s Court charged for cultivation of cannabis.
