Learning channel broadens scope – Moraikobai residents begin benefitting

With the recent exit of Delta Airlines, there has not been much progress on the talks between government and Surinam Airways. Contacted over the weekend about the status of the airline’s entry into the Georgetown/New York route, Surinam Airways Country Manager Rudi Westerborg disclosed that there are no new developments. Six men, including a Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) student were refused bail when they appeared before Magistrate Khrishendat Persaud at the Whim Magistrate’s Court on Monday, charged with the murder of Alfred Munroe, 45.
