The accused in the Corentyne rape and buggery trial was on Friday set free by a mixed Berbice jury last Friday. The jury returned a unanimous verdict of not-guilty after deliberating for 30 minutes on the evidence following guidance by Justice Dawn Gregory-Barnes.
