Police have launched an investigation into the theft of four flash drives from the Secretariat of the Permanent Secretary, Office of the President, on February 4th, 2011. The flash drives are valued at Gy$22,000, and they contain vital documents. Police have said in a release that investigations have, thus far, revealed that on February 3, a female employee who was attached to that secretariat was informed by letter that she was transferred to another department and that she was no longer allowed to enter the secretariat.
